Recently, I saw a bunch of PFPs/membership cards talking about "long-term brand value," and I couldn't help but laugh a little: honestly, many times it's just short-term attention wrapped in a more appealing package. The group is lively for two weeks, then once the floor price drops, everyone acts like they don't know each other, and the so-called "culture" instantly loses power.
Looking again at staking and shared security, the layered yield stacking gets criticized as a "matryoshka doll," which isn't unfair; attention is also stacked layer upon layer. In the end, what do they rely on to hold it all together? Anyway, I no longer like to bet on grand narratives.
I've scaled down my goal: not chasing the hottest PFPs, just focusing on whether the team is actually doing something, and whether I would be willing to use/wear/join the group for a year. It’s a bit modest, but it’s easier to stick with, and less likely to be led by emotions. If I get it wrong, so be it—at least I won’t stay up all night obsessing.
