6 hours ago, a giant whale/institution wanted to swap aEthUSDT for aEthAAVE. They ignored the slippage warning that popped up indicating insufficient liquidity to meet their trading demand and confirmed to proceed with the transaction. In the end, 50.43 million USDT only got 327.2 AAVE ($3.65万), directly losing 50.39 million.
For MEV, it was money falling from heaven. By bribing block builders for arbitrage, they ate this free cake and directly made tens of millions of dollars in profit.
The only fortunate thing is that this $5043 万 is not this giant whale/institution's entire fund. They still have 302 million USDC in another wallet. Although this trade resulted in heavy losses, it's not enough to bankrupt them directly, otherwise they'd jump off a building😂
