Extreme funding rates make my brain's octopus start to tie itself in knots: the more tentacles, the harder to control... Listening to the counterparty's order book sounds very satisfying, basically arguing with the crowd, but when it comes to placing an order in that split second, I feel more timid. Recently, that mainstream chain is upgrading/maintaining, and the group is guessing whether the ecosystem will move away. I see it more as "emotion + leverage" fermenting together, with volatility faster than logic. Last night, I almost logged out of the trading app or even considered uninstalling it, fingers hovering for a long time, but in the end, I held back: cut my position to a manageable size, and the rest is just missing out. Counterparty orders can be made, but I now prefer to hide first; staying alive is more important than winning a single trade.
