In Japan, a new company is being established to develop high-performance artificial intelligence (AI), which aims to counter the dominance of the US and China in this field. The initiative is led by SoftBank, NEC, Sony Group, and Honda Motor. Local media reported this. According to sources, each company will receive over 10% in the new structure, and banks and industrial corporations may also join the project as minority investors. The goal is to create a competitive Japanese-made AI platform and make it accessible to local businesses.
