I was looking at some data about the global economy and found it interesting. The wealthiest countries in Asia by GDP per capita are quite different from what we imagine. Singapore leads by a large margin, followed by Qatar and Israel. Then come the United Arab Emirates, Brunei, Kuwait... The list changes quite a bit when you look at total GDP versus GDP per capita. Japan and South Korea appear lower on the per capita metric, but of course, they are economic giants. Saudi Arabia and Bahrain also make the top 10 of the richest countries in Asia. It's interesting to see how wealth is so concentrated in certain regions. Are you from any of these countries? What's the reality there?
