Just read that Konstantin Ignatov got released from prison after serving his time for the OneCoin fraud. Wild story honestly. This guy was basically running a $4 billion crypto scam with his sister Ruja Ignatova, the so-called Cryptoqueen. When she disappeared in 2017, Konstantin Ignatov took over as the de facto leader of the whole thing. Judge Edgardo Ramos released him in March after he'd already served the 34-month sentence. The crazy part is Konstantin Ignatov testified against other people involved too - like Mark Scott, a OneCoin lawyer who got 10 years for laundering $400 million from the scheme. Even Karl Greenwood, the co-founder, got 20 years. He made $300 million off OneCoin and spent it on luxury trips and properties. The whole organization was basically a house of cards. Ignatov had to forfeit $118,000 and got two years supervised release. But here's the thing - Ruja Ignatova, the main person behind all this, is still missing since 2017. She's on the FBI's most wanted list. Some people think a drug lord might have killed her back in 2018, but nobody really knows. Crazy how these schemes blow up eventually.
