DTNA 2027 Engines Expand With Cummins and Detroit Platforms

Daimler Truck North America (DTNA) has announced an expanded powertrain portfolio for 2027, incorporating new Cummins engines and Detroit’s Gen 6 diesel lineup for Freightliner and Western Star models. The Cummins offerings include the B6.7 Octane gasoline engine, the new X10, and a redesigned X15, all designed to meet upcoming emissions requirements. The Detroit Gen 6 platform features updated DD13, DD15, and DD16 engines with an improved fuel system and a pre-Selective Catalytic Reduction system for emissions compliance.
