✨Simeon Hyman, the strategy chief of the $100 billion ETF giant ProShares, shattered the classic risk perception of Bitcoin on CNBC: “It’s wrong to think of Bitcoin, Ether, Solana, and XRP as just risk assets. When you run the numbers, their diversifying nature becomes clear.” Hyman stated that Bitcoin is diverging from equities and even showing an upward trend amidst global conflicts and geopolitical tensions. This statement reinforces the thesis that BTC is “not yet fully priced” – especially while spot ETF flows and institutional buying continue.
✨Bitcoin is currently trading in the $68,500 – $70,000 consolidation range (with a 1-2% fluctuation in the last 24 hours). Although there are death cross signals on the weekly charts, the upward bias is maintained in the short term thanks to the "diversifier" feature highlighted by ProShares and the supportive trends of ETFs.
✨Bull Scenario (Most Likely – 60% probability): If $72,000 is broken + ETF inflows continue (with the influence of ProShares BITO and its competitors), $75,000-$78,000 will be targeted. Hyman's emphasis on "not a risk asset" comes into play here; BTC's divergence increases while stocks and gold fall. Bear Scenario: If the price falls below $67,000 + inflation fears increase with oil remaining above $100, $62,900 (short squeeze low) and $60,000 will be tested. However, institutional accumulation (whale purchases) and the diversifier trend may limit this decline. Neutral Consolidation: The consolidation continues in the $68,500 – $72,000 range; volatility will increase if volume remains low.
✨ProShares' statement to CNBC officially confirmed Bitcoin's role as a "portfolio protector" in 2026. Technically, $72,000 is a breakout point; if this is surpassed, an "unpriced" rally will begin. Investors should closely monitor support below $69,000 and place stop-losses around $65,500. In the long term, ETFs and institutional diversification demand are the strongest catalysts to push BTC to the $80,000 – $100,000 range.
🙏As always, do your own research before investing.
