Startale Group and SBI Holdings Announce Joint Development of Japanese Yen Stablecoin JPYSC.

The stablecoin will be issued by SBI Shinsei Trust Bank based on a trust structure, with SBI VC Trade responsible for distribution, and Startale handling core development and on-chain DeFi promotion. The project is scheduled for release in Q2 2026, pending regulatory approval.
The focus of this news is not just another stablecoin, but the issuer and compliance pathway. A Japanese Yen stablecoin issued by a licensed bank under Japan's regulatory framework, if successfully implemented, would mean traditional financial funds have a clearer on-chain channel.
In my view, this is a signal of infrastructure-level upgrade rather than a short-term narrative. Stablecoins are moving from being crypto market tools to compliant financial interfaces.
If this model works, more native stablecoins will emerge in the future, and the on-chain liquidity structure will also change accordingly.
