The Belgian financial regulatory authority recently released shocking data: by the second half of 2025, local consumers will have lost a total of over €23 million in crypto scams and investment frauds.

Specifically, the most severe is fake trading platforms, which caused losses of €10.5 million in just half a year. Another scam is also rampant—fraudsters attract victims on social media, then add them to WhatsApp groups, claiming to offer "exclusive investment advice" to scam them, resulting in a loss of €9.5 million.

The combination of these two major scams demonstrates how sophisticated current fraud techniques have become. As investors, vigilance must be at its highest. When encountering unfamiliar trading platforms, strangers' "insider information," or various investment group invitations, it's essential to question them. Protecting your wallet is more important than anything else.

23 million euros, how many people had to be scammed to gather that amount? It seems my little loss is nothing compared to the kids in Belgium.

€23 million? Oh my god, that's an astonishing number. Are the Belgians collectively getting ripped off? The WhatsApp group set is indeed top-notch. Pretending to be a big shot and tricking people into joining the group, then starting to talk about "exclusive advice"... I know people who have been scammed like this. The most outrageous fake trading platforms, half a year with €10.5 million... These scam gangs are really terrifyingly sophisticated. Platforms I don't recognize, invitations from strangers... now it's basically all traps, gotta keep your eyes peeled. Wallet security is really the first priority, or you'll lose everything and end up empty-handed.

Oh my god, 23 million euros just gone like that. If only I had seen this article earlier. People who are naive and have lots of money are always the easiest to scam. My fault, I guess. That WhatsApp group scam is really everywhere now. Are people still falling for it? I don't believe it.
