$332 million short positions liquidated, one-third of them. How does this slippage trader respond?

Abstract generation in progress

【BlockBeats】Early this morning, the market experienced a rebound, forcing a trader holding a large short position to face liquidation pressure. According to on-chain data, this trader previously held a short position worth $332 million. Amid the market’s rapid surge, one-third of his position was liquidated.

This liquidation dealt a significant blow to the trader—his unrealized gains dropped from $24 million to $4 million, instantly wiping out $20 million in profit. In response to this shock, the trader did not fully cut losses but instead chose to add to his position. After the liquidation event, he re-entered some short positions and currently holds a $266 million short position, continuing to bet on further market decline.

This incident also serves as a reminder to market participants that even professional traders with large holdings need to exercise caution in highly volatile markets. The leverage effect of margin trading amplifies gains but also increases the risk of losses.

Ha, this guy really dares to do it. After returning 20 million, he still wants to short more. I knew this gambler's mentality would eventually backfire.

Still risking an additional 20 million in liquidation? This guy is really bold—either a genius or a lunatic.

Ha, another gambler's mentality acting up. Cleared one-third and still dares to double down? This guy just doesn't believe in evil. --- 20 million is gone directly. If it were me, I would have already given up. This person is really tough. --- The short sellers are still stubbornly holding on. I think they'll be scared awake by a margin call sooner or later. --- A typical "buy more as it falls" mentality. Feels like a crash is coming, everyone. --- That's why I only use a fixed risk amount and don't believe he'll survive the next wave.

Wow, this guy is really tough. After getting hit halfway, he still wants to go all-in on a short position. His mental resilience is unmatched.

Haha, it's that guy again who doesn't know when to cut losses. Greed really can be deadly.
