Hedger combines homomorphic encryption and ZK to create a "user-friendly" privacy interface on DuskEVM; Citadel and Shelter are responsible for building a digital identity system that allows selective disclosure for KYC; and consensus designs like Succinct Attestation ensure decentralization while providing institution-level instant finality and node reputation management. Modules like Piecrust, DuskDS, and DuskEVM each serve their purpose: a stable settlement layer, flexible execution layer, and efficient privacy computation, enabling developers to incorporate compliance and privacy without starting from scratch.

The significance of this approach is not just technical coolness, but that it turns compliance into a programmable thing, providing a technically acceptable on-chain pathway for traditional finance. The verification required by regulators, the protection of trade secrets for institutions, and users' privacy rights—these three can no longer be at odds but are simultaneously satisfied through protocol design. Simply put, Dusk aims not to create an extralegal zone but to build a "legitimate privacy bridge"—one side offers on-chain efficiency, the other compliance and trust. This bridge can lead to the scalable on-chain of real assets.
