X Official Product Lead Nikita Bier latest statement: the platform will ban the post reward mechanism. This move directly impacts the operational model of InfoFi-type projects—these projects originally relied on content incentives to attract user participation. As mainstream social platforms tighten policies, Web3 project teams need to rethink growth strategies and user retention plans. This also reflects a shift in attitude of traditional internet platforms towards crypto-related applications.

Here comes another crackdown? X is really ruthless this time, directly cutting the reward mechanism... The InfoFi projects will have to be reshuffled.

Banned again and again? X is trying to shut down everything that can make money... InfoFi might have to reshuffle this time.

Oh no, the good days of InfoFi are over. The reward-based siphoning model is completely over.

Seeing this news, I just laughed. The pattern is already formed, everyone. The InfoFi model essentially relies on reward mechanisms to prolong its life. Once the chips are concentrated in the hands of top users, overheating emotions lead to collapse. The ban on X is essentially about risk release. The typical retail mentality is still hoping the platform will always provide subsidies.

The issue with the ban on the reward mechanism... To put it simply, it's because they're afraid of being exploited for quick gains. From an engineering perspective, this move indeed cuts off the breeding ground for inflated metrics, but the question is—why would users still stay on the platform?

Ban on reward mechanisms? Isn't this just cutting the liquidity depth of InfoFi, boring and tasteless
