Recently conducted a new project promotion effectiveness comparison test, which was quite insightful. Three different new projects were selected to evaluate the actual performance of tools like , with the following data:

Konnex World ranked 290th on the leaderboard, attracting 580 participants; On Veera ranked 32nd, with 1016 participants; Alturax ranked 519th, with 2127 participants.

From this data, a pattern can be observed — the higher the leaderboard ranking, the not necessarily the higher the engagement, but the project’s popularity and community activity levels are quite distinct. Notably, the last-place Alturax attracted the most people, indicating that the attractiveness of new projects is sometimes not linearly related to their ranking position.

My advice to everyone is that if you want to boost a new project using promotion tools, instead of blindly chasing leaderboard rankings, it’s better to target the right audience and timing for dissemination. Data speaks for itself, but how you interpret the data is the key.

Alturax, this dark horse, ranking at the bottom but attracting the most people, this logic is a bit absolute. Rankings can't really explain anything; it still depends on whether it can hit the users' pain points. The data looks good, but I'm worried someone will use it to make up stories again. Honestly, compared to fighting for rankings, it's better to carefully consider the community's appetite. What makes Alturax beat the ones ahead? There must be a trick. That's why I never trust rankings; I only look at repurchase rates. The top-ranked ones are actually quite quiet, which feels a bit strange. Finding the right audience can really turn the tables; I approve of this idea.

*adjusts alchemical instruments* the ranking-to-engagement transmutation ain't linear, huh? this is exactly what the ancients warned about—chasing position vectors when you should be optimizing for liquidity pools of actual eyeballs

Rank does not equal popularity. I've seen this trick too many times. The real question is—are you sure those 2127 participants are real? Or are they bots? After reviewing a few such projects, it's obvious from the on-chain data that everything is exposed.

Hmm, there's a bit of an issue with this logic. Alturax ranks the worst but has the most users? We need to see if it's caused by sampling bias.
