Recently, Miden's collaboration with a privacy protocol team gave us a new perspective. They integrated zero-knowledge proof (ZK) identity verification solutions into the Miden ecosystem. The core idea is simple—allow users to complete identity verification without exposing any personal data.

This is the true "privacy-first" approach. In traditional models, compliance often means "opening the box," where users must hand over various information to the platform for approval. But doing so fundamentally contradicts the principles Web3 aims to pursue.

The operation logic of the new solution is as follows: users only need to complete a one-time ID scan and liveness verification to obtain a zero-knowledge proof credential. This credential can prove "I have passed compliance review" without revealing any specific personal information. Subsequently, during on-chain interactions, submitting this ZK proof is sufficient.

In this mode, regulatory requirements are met, and user privacy is genuinely protected. Compliance and privacy are no longer mutually exclusive choices.
