Aster's recent actions have caught many people off guard. Amid external skepticism, it successfully integrated the web version of perpetual contracts functionality for a major exchange wallet—this seemingly simple feature integration actually addresses a long-standing pain point in the wallet ecosystem.

Traditional wallets have limited functions: primarily storing assets, checking balances, and basic interactions. For contract trading, users still need to switch to the exchange interface, which can be quite inconvenient. Now, users can complete perpetual contract trading directly within the wallet, optimizing the entire interaction process.

From a product perspective, this effectively makes the wallet a more comprehensive trading tool. Asset management and derivatives trading are handled within a single interface, opening up new possibilities for liquidity. For Aster, this is a significant feature implementation and demonstrates that the project still has momentum in product iteration. Those earlier doubts now seem indeed premature.
