AI agents are undergoing rapid evolution—transitioning from basic chatbot functions into truly autonomous systems capable of conducting independent research, making informed decisions, and executing complex tasks across the digital landscape without constant human intervention.

Yet despite these remarkable strides, a critical infrastructure gap remains. Current AI agents still operate without a native mechanism to directly settle payments for essential services—whether that's accessing premium data streams, calling upon specialized APIs, or compensating computational resources in real time.

This execution and commerce layer represents the missing piece in agent infrastructure. As these systems grow increasingly sophisticated and operate across multiple platforms and blockchain ecosystems, the ability to transact value natively becomes not just convenient but essential for unlocking the full potential of autonomous AI systems in Web3 and beyond.

NGL, that's the problem. No matter how awesome the agents are, if there's no money, it's useless... The native payment layer should have been developed long ago.

Basically, AI agents are still half-disabled now. They can do work independently but can't pay themselves. Shouldn't this pit have been fixed a long time ago?

NGL, this is why Web3 needs to implement on-chain payments. AI can process transactions automatically, but we still have to rely on manual settlements? That's too ridiculous.
