CoinVoice has learned that, according to Hong Kong Wen Wei Po, a 32-year-old Hong Kong man suspected of losing about 10 million yuan in cryptocurrency investments committed suicide by jumping from a building after returning to Hong Kong from the UK the day before yesterday, in front of his father.

It is reported that the man held a master's degree and was pursuing a second master's degree. He developed a mental illness after losing his job due to the pandemic in 2022 and needed regular medication. The man went to the UK for further studies in September last year. Recently, he was emotionally unstable when in contact with his father, and under family persuasion, he returned to Hong Kong for medical treatment.

The day before yesterday afternoon, after arriving home, the man told his father that he had lost about 10 million yuan in cryptocurrency investments. He then lost control of his emotions, cut his wrist, and rushed out onto the balcony to jump. After investigation, the police considered the case to be without suspicion and classified it as a fall from a height case.
