Looking at how far a Web3 project can go, the key is whether it has a clear plan for the future. Walrus recently 공개ed its development roadmap, and the upcoming steps are all solid technical upgrades.
The most core move is migrating from an independent network architecture to a Delegated Proof of Stake (DPoS) model. This is not a simple revision; it directly enhances the network's security and operational efficiency. Following that, the formal establishment of the Walrus Foundation will accelerate the project's implementation in practical applications and ecosystem expansion. To ensure node quality, the project also introduces a strict node auditing system—every participating storage node must pass review—to make the entire network stable and reliable.
Technical improvements are also very promising. Once the advanced read options are developed, data access speeds will significantly improve, and issues like latency in high-resolution video retrieval can be thoroughly resolved. The launch of lightweight node functionality allows small-scale participants to join easily, further advancing the network's decentralization.
From consensus mechanisms, governance structures, to node management and technical optimization, these core components are all evolving. This demonstrates Walrus's commitment to continuous iteration and also outlines a clear development path for ecosystem participants.

DPoS迁移听起来挺扎实的,不过节点审计这块会不会又变成新的中心化陷阱呢

The roadmap looks quite clear, but the DPoS migration... can it really go smoothly? The technical aspect seems a bit uncertain.

dpos migration sounds nice but... what's the actual gas cost gonna be during this whole transition? always the hidden fees lol

DPoS migration sounds good, but will node auditing become a new form of centralization?

DPoS migration sounds good, but my main concern is the node auditing aspect—will it end up compromising decentralization? I've seen too many projects use security as an excuse to set up entry barriers, and when risk control points are raised, small investors are completely pushed out. I wish I had known earlier.

Another bunch of roadmaps. I bet five dollars that in half a year, it'll still be the same
DPoS, foundations, node audits—all sound good, but I just don't know when the real money will show up
Whitepapers are always perfect; execution is my real pain point
High-resolution videos not lagging? Let's stabilize the coin price first, brother
Light nodes have been launched, giving the newbies yet another reason to lose money

dpos migration signals deterministic shift in validator clustering patterns... whale accumulation phase incoming, mark my words
