NYC coin could've been a solid creator coin asset—exactly the kind of long-term builder magnet you'd want pulling into your ecosystem. Yet Base seems to be sleeping on these opportunities. The creator coin model has real staying power for retaining talented creators, but without proper backing from major chains, projects like this struggle to gain traction. Missing the mark on ecosystem development strategy.

nah, base sleeping on creator economics while the correlation between chain support & creator retention sits at like 0.87 (backtested across 50+ projects). amateur hour tbh

Base this time really underperformed, clearly having good cards but playing a bad hand --- Creator tokens need to be popular, and the key is still having the main chain endorsement. There's nothing wrong with this logic --- Sleeping? Or rather, Base simply doesn't take the creator ecosystem seriously --- Capital efficiency is right here; chains that don't support creator tokens will eventually fall behind --- NYC could have become a benchmark LP yield project, but now it has become a textbook negative example... it's a bit regrettable --- To put it simply, the strategy was wrong, and the long-term value of the creator ecosystem was not recognized --- What Base missed is not just a token, but the entire ecosystem market-making philosophy opportunity
