There was major activity early this morning!

According to Arkham's monitoring, at 00:21 and 00:24, an anonymous wallet sent two consecutive batches of COMP to the market maker Wintermute—a total of 252,000 tokens.

First, 106,000 tokens were received, and then three minutes later, another 146,000 tokens arrived.

What does a transfer of this size usually mean? It could be preparation for an OTC trade, or it might be the market maker adjusting their liquidity pool. In any case, Wintermute has been very active lately, so it's worth keeping an eye on COMP to see if there will be any fluctuations.

yo hold up, 252,000 COMP sent to Wintermute in three minutes? This TPS throughput looks pretty smooth... Not like Ethereum’s gas fee hell. Back in my mining days, I had to wait half a day just to transfer some coins, and all that hashpower was wasted on network congestion. That’s why L2 adoption metrics are so crucial... anyway, this OTC smells fishy. Usually, for transfers of this size, there are on-chain signals beforehand—like market makers adjusting liquidity pools? Why not just swap directly? Why do it so stealthily... Feels like we’re in for more volatility again.
