Recently, I compared the COIN50 index (top 20 holdings) of a certain compliance platform with CMC20 and found the overlap to be quite ridiculous. BTC, ETH, XRP, SOL, DOGE, and ADA are basically the main players on both sides, with the overall Beta trend almost following each other closely.
However, upon closer inspection, some insights can still be found—the configuration logic of COIN50 is clearly influenced by the platform's coin listing strategy, and the weight of certain cryptocurrencies may deviate slightly from the pure market capitalization ranking of CMC. This structural discrepancy is actually quite worth pondering for those involved in configuration.

I think the key point is the difference in configuration logic. Just looking at the overlap rate doesn't mean much...

The degree of correlation between these two indices is so high that it's ridiculous. Aren't they just going in circles with BTC and ETH?

The Compliance platform's trap has to rely on the coin strategy; on the surface, it seems similar to CMC, but behind the scenes, they are adjusting the weight.

Oh, this trap is just the platform playing tricks, it ranks however CMC does.

If I had known there was a trick to looking at this thing, I definitely wouldn't have gone all in with a full position.

Compliance platform is like this; the weight game always needs some clever tricks.
