$GIGGLE Even if the bear market isn't doing well, its market cap will keep shrinking. That means holders don't need to worry about their coins dropping too much because the supply is not only limited but also decreasing over time. When the market is good, trading volume increases, and the coins become scarcer—creating a positive cycle. When the market isn't doing well and trading volume is low, the process just takes longer, but the supply still decreases. A slight positive news or market boost can trigger a strong breakout, which also tends to attract capital (big players).
Many coins, even if their prices don't rise, their market cap keeps increasing—either through unlocking or issuance—meaning the total supply is growing, and so is the market cap. Even with positive news, it can be hard to push the price up.
Think about it—when you buy something, is it more expensive because it's rare, or because it's a basic item, or even because there's more of it?
Use your toes to think about it.
