North Korea Launches New Infostealing Malware ‘PylangGhost’ Against Crypto Practitioners] A North Korea-linked cyber threat actor is targeting cryptocurrency industry job seekers with a new type of malware designed to steal passwords for cryptocurrency wallets and password managers. Cisco Talos reported on Wednesday that it had discovered a Python-based remote access Trojan (RAT) named “PylangGhost” and linked the malware to a North Korean-linked hacking group known as “Famous Chollima” (also known as “Wagemole”). The hacking group mainly targeted job seekers and employees with experience in cryptocurrencies and blockchains, especially in India, through fake job interview campaigns carried out through social engineering means.
