According to Mars Finance, as reported by Decrypt, U.S. President Trump has signed the bipartisan “Take It Down Act” into law. This bill criminalizes the involuntary online posting of intimate images (including both real images and AI-generated images) and deepfake pornographic content, requiring major tech platforms to remove such content within 48 hours of notification. First Lady Melania Trump called the bill a “national victory” for protecting children from online exploitation. Victims of deepfake and revenge porn will now be protected under U.S. federal law.
