JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon announced that the company will provide its customers with the opportunity to buy Bitcoin, but it will not offer BTC custody services.
Dimon reiterated that he does not personally have a favorable view of Bitcoin, stating “I am not a fan.”
However, a report recently published by JPMorgan predicts that Bitcoin will significantly outperform gold for the remainder of 2025. This optimistic outlook stems from new catalysts arising from changes in investment dynamics specific to cryptocurrencies.
In a note published by the analyst team led by JPMorgan’s managing director Nikolaos Panigirtzoglou, the following assessment was made:
“From mid-February to mid-April, gold was rising against Bitcoin. However, for the last three weeks, we have been observing the opposite situation; Bitcoin is gaining value against gold.”
Analysts added that they expect this trend to continue:
“Since the beginning of the year, we have seen sequential increases between gold and Bitcoin, and we believe this will continue for the rest of the year. However, due to crypto-specific catalysts, we expect a balance to form in favor of Bitcoin in the second half of the year.”
