The OptionRoom ($ROOM) contract vulnerabilities were exploited and attacked on July 11th, 2021, around 4:00 AM UTC+8. Following this attack, the OptionRoom team announced on its twitter that they decided to take a snapshot of holders’ balance before the hack and distribute new ROOM tokens to holders at the ratio of 1:1. The ROOM tokens after the snapshot time are invalid tokens (See ROOM twitter to learn more).
Gate.io will, according to the ROOM team's announced solution, void and cancel deposits and trades made after the snapshot time (temporarily set at 4:30 AM UTC+8) .
If you bought invalid ROOM tokens on ROOM/ETH and ROOM/USDT markets on gate.io after the attack time, your USDT or ETH as well as the trading fee paid will be refunded in whole. For valid ROOM tokens before the snapshot time, we will swap the new tokens for you.
