Gate Announces Union (U) Renaming to Union (UNION)

Gate will rename Union (U) to Union (UNION). As part of this process, Gate will suspend deposit, withdrawal and trading services for Union(U), including the U_USDT spot trading pair, Simple Earn, margin trading, quantitative grid trading and futures trading on January 12, 2026, at 12:00 UTC.

Gate will take the following steps:

1. Gate has disabled new leveraged lending and collateral lending for Union (U).
2. By 11:30 UTC on January 12, 2026, the U/USDT futures trading will be set to [reduce-only] mode. If you have active positions, please adjust your strategy in advance.
3. At 12:00 UTC on January 12, 2026, all U/USDT positions will be automatically settled based on the average index price from the last 30 minutes before suspension. All unfilled orders will be canceled. Please close your positions before this time to avoid forced settlement.
4. For users with active quantitative trading strategies involving Union (U), please adjust strategies in advance. All active strategies will be forcibly terminated before 12:00 UTC on January 12, 2026.
5. At 12:00 UTC on January 12, 2026, Gate will suspend Union (U) deposit, withdrawal and trading services, including the U_USDT spot pair, Simple Earn and margin trading.
6. For users holding Union (U) in Simple Earn, please manually redeem your assets in advance, or they will be automatically redeemed before 12:00 UTC on January 12, 2026.
7. For users with outstanding Union (U) margin loans, please repay your loans in advance. Otherwise, the loans will be automatically settled by 12:00 UTC on January 12, 2026.

This renaming only involves a change to the token ticker and does not include any blockchain swap or migration. Gate users do not need to take any additional actions. The security of user assets will not be affected. Once the renaming is complete, the token will be re-evaluated and re-listed under the new ticker. Please stay tuned for further announcements.
