How to judge if a person is smart or not?
Getting along with smart people involves very low communication costs.
Standard of judgment one:
A person who, without any preparation, can spontaneously explain a somewhat complex matter in three words and two phrases, with a complete subject-verb-object structure, clear time, place, and characters, making it immediately understandable to anyone without background—this person is likely very smart.
Nine out of ten people cannot do this.
Standard of judgment two:
When listening to someone explain a causal reasoning matter, being able to immediately grasp the key points and understand the logical chain, especially when the conclusion matches their expectations, reacting very quickly—that's a clear sign of extreme intelligence.
Ninety-nine out of one hundred people cannot do this.
Most people simply don't have "ears" and only talk to themselves.
