Slovakia begins implementing diesel sales restrictions to ensure domestic supply

A Central Television reporter learned that on March 19 local time, Slovakia began imposing restrictions on diesel sales to ensure the country’s diesel supply, and the decree will remain in effect for 30 days. At the same time, Slovakia also banned diesel exports starting on the 19th, and that measure will likewise last for 30 days. Russian oil delivered to Europe via the Ukraine segment of the “Friendship” pipeline has been suspended since January 27. Hungary and Slovakia expressed dissatisfaction and blamed Ukraine. On the 16th, Hungary and Slovakia signed an agreement to build a new oil pipeline for transporting gasoline and diesel between the two countries. (CCTV News)
