People’s Finance News, April 7—The General Office of the People’s Government of Yunnan Province issued the “Twenty Measures for Promoting the Development of Yunnan Football,” which proposes to boost the development of the events economy. Fully leverage the role of sports events in driving consumer spending, highlight the spillover effect of events, promote the conversion of traffic, and unleash the potential of event consumption, using market-oriented approaches to support the building of an events system. Deeply advance the integrated development of “sports, culture and tourism, agriculture, and commerce,” cultivate distinctive consumption scenarios such as “watching matches + traveling + long-term stays” and football-themed tourism routes, incorporate football events into the tourism promotion and publicity system of “A Life Called Yunnan,” jointly carry out publicity and promotion, continuously expand the added value of events and enhance brand influence. Strengthen market-oriented operation capabilities by introducing strategic sponsors, attracting social capital, developing multiple revenue channels such as advertising sponsorships, ticketing marketing, and event broadcasting rights, and improving the value of the events economy. Strengthen venue construction and operations management, optimize supporting services such as transportation, dining, and accommodation, improve safety and emergency response plans, and effectively enhance the experience of participating personnel and tourists, injecting new momentum into the province’s economic and social development.
