just found out cucumbers are actually safe for dogs and honestly kind of a game changer? like if your pup is chunky or you want a low-cal treat, this is it. one cup of sliced cucumber is only like 15 calories. apparently they're mostly water so they help with hydration too which is cool. my vet said dogs can eat cucumber raw, no problem, just slice it up and don't give them the seeds if they can't digest them. the thing is you gotta keep it as a treat though, not more than 10% of their daily calories or whatever. also puppies need to start slow with it to avoid stomach issues. honestly seems like such an easy snack to give them instead of those sugary commercial treats. anyone else been doing this or am i late to the game? 🐕
