🔥Indonesia sentences 3 individuals for funding terrorism with cryptocurrency, on-chain information becomes key evidence
According to TRM Labs, the Indonesian government has convicted three individuals of funding terrorism through cryptocurrency. Law enforcement traced on-chain data linking the relevant wallet addresses to ISIS networks, with one defendant transferring over 49k USDT to overseas exchanges through 15 transactions. Although the individuals did not directly carry out attacks, they were identified as part of the "financial logistics layer" of terrorist financing. TRM stated that this may be one of the first anti-terrorism financing cases in Southeast Asia to rely primarily on blockchain evidence for conviction.
