Nous Research has released version 0.7.0 of the Hermes Agent framework, enhancing resilience, stealth, and context management capabilities. The memory system has been redesigned into a scalable plugin system, allowing users to replace or customize backends, with six third-party backends built-in for selection.

ME News update, April 4 (UTC+8). Nous Research recently released a major update to its open-source agent framework, Hermes Agent, version 0.7.0. This update mainly enhances the framework’s resilience, stealth, and long-context management capabilities, aiming to move it toward production-grade reliability. The core change is that the memory system has been rebuilt into a scalable plugin system, allowing users to swap out any backend or build a custom backend. The framework’s built-in memory backend works out of the box, and six third-party providers’ memory backends are already available for selection. Users can choose and configure the backend they need by running the command ‘hermes memory setup’. (Source: InFoQ)
