WSJ: Ceasefire negotiations stall, Iran refuses to meet with U.S. officials

The Wall Street Journal reported on Friday that mediation efforts led by regional countries including Pakistan, aimed at helping broker a U.S.–Iran ceasefire, have hit a deadlock.

The report said that Iran has officially informed the mediators that it does not want to meet with U.S. officials in Islamabad, Pakistan’s capital, in the coming days, calling the United States’ demands unacceptable.
