Pakistan convenes four-nation meeting to seek reopening of the Strait of Hormuz

On Sunday, Pakistan held a meeting in the capital Islamabad with Turkey, Egypt, and Saudi Arabia, focusing on plans to reopen the Strait of Hormuz, with all three countries sending ministerial-level officials to participate.

Sources say that all parties, including Egypt, submitted proposals to the United States before the meeting, which included a fee structure for passing ships similar to that of the Suez Canal. Additionally, Turkey, Egypt, and Saudi Arabia may form a consortium to manage oil transportation through the waterway.
