Malaysia says Iran allows detained oil tankers to pass through the Strait of Hormuz
On March 28, People’s Financial News reported that Malaysian Foreign Minister Muhammad stated that the Iranian government has allowed several Malaysian oil tankers stranded in the Strait of Hormuz to pass. Muhammad told the media that, given the current tense situation in the Middle East, although the relevant tankers have been permitted to transit the Strait of Hormuz, they still need to wait for an appropriate “window of passage.” Muhammad mentioned that Malaysia has previously communicated multiple times with Iran. Following a phone call between Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar and Iranian President Raisi, Iran responded positively and agreed to allow the relevant vessels to pass. (Xinhua News Agency)
