Today, Apple’s Chief Operating Officer Sabih Khan and other executives appeared in Shenzhen, visiting the Apple Application Research Laboratory in the Shenzhen Futian Free Trade Zone in the morning. This laboratory, which will begin operations in 2024, is Apple’s latest application research lab in China. It is located near Apple’s important production and assembly bases in China, allowing for close collaboration with nearly 200 suppliers in the vicinity. The turnaround time for samples between suppliers and the Shenzhen Application Research Laboratory can be as fast as one day. It is reported that Apple executives will also visit several supply chain vendors located in Shenzhen, marking the first visit by Apple executives to China since 2026. (Southern Finance)
