Principal Financial Group has agreed to acquire DentaNet, Alabama’s largest dental provider network, from Southland Benefit Solutions, a subsidiary of Collateral Holdings, LLC. This acquisition, which also includes renewal rights for group insurance contracts through Canopy Insurance, strengthens Principal’s position in the Southeast and supports its growth strategy in the small and midsized business market. The deal follows a strong performance in Principal’s Specialty Benefits division, which reported significant improvements in its operating margin for full-year 2025.
