According to Reuters, Dubai International Airport and the iconic Burj Al Arab hotel were damaged during retaliatory strikes launched overnight in Iran, affecting Gulf countries and the broader Middle East region. Dubai’s media office stated early Sunday that four people were injured at the airport. On X, they said, “A terminal at Dubai International Airport (DXB) was slightly damaged in an incident, and the situation has been quickly brought under control,” but did not disclose further details. Authorities confirmed that a drone was intercepted, and its debris caused a small fire on the exterior of the Burj Al Arab. Several airlines suspended flights to and from the Middle East (including Dubai and Abu Dhabi) on Saturday.
