CEX launches USD1 holding airdrop campaign, $40 million WLFI rewards for spot, contract, and leverage users

On January 23, CEX officially announced the launch of the USD1 Holding Airdrop event starting from 00:00 (UTC) on January 23, 2026. Eligible users can share a total of $40 million worth of WLFI tokens as rewards based on their holding proportion. The event will run until 00:00 (UTC) on February 20, 2026, with rewards distributed weekly. According to the announcement, users only need to hold World Liberty Financial USD (USD1) on the CEX platform to participate in the airdrop. Supported account types include: spot accounts, funding accounts, margin accounts (as collateral), and USDⓈ-M contract accounts (supporting multi-asset mode). Holdings using USD1 as contract or margin collateral will receive a 1.2x reward bonus. The airdrop will be distributed over 4 weeks, with each week distributing WLFI worth $10 million. The first airdrop will be issued on February 2, 2026, corresponding to the reward cycle from January 23 to January 30, and subsequent distributions will occur every Friday. Rewards will be directly airdropped to users’ CEX spot accounts. The reward calculation is based on the user’s net USD1 holdings (assets minus liabilities), using the lowest balance from multiple daily snapshots as the effective value. The official emphasizes that borrowed USD1 (such as leveraged loans or VIP lending) does not count towards the effective holdings.
