Musk said the planned changes were in response to ‘too much negative content’ on X. In a January 3rd social media post, he wrote, ‘Our goal is to maximize the user’s regret-free usage time. Too much negative content is being pushed, which technically increases user’s usage time, but does not increase the user’s regret-free usage time.’ On this, users on X describe the changes in Algorithm as a form of review and question Musk’s authority to decide on ‘negative content’ on the platform.
