Tokayev and Putin sign joint statement, Kazakhstan and Russia will deepen strategic partnership

Jinshi Data News on November 28th: On November 27th local time, President Tokayev of Kazakhstan held talks with visiting Russian President Putin in Astana, and the two sides signed a joint statement on deepening strategic partnership in the new global order. During the bilateral talks, Putin stated that Kazakhstan is Russia's strategic partner and reliable ally, and there are no unresolved issues in the bilateral relationship. Bilateral trade volume reached a record $28 billion in 2023, and $20 billion in the first 9 months of this year. Tokayev stated that Putin's visit is of historical significance. Currently, Kazakhstan and Russian partners are implementing 93 investment projects with a total value of $18.3 billion, accounting for about 20% of Kazakhstan's total foreign trade volume with Russia. In the future, Kazakhstan will strengthen cooperation with Russia in multiple areas, including energy.
