The aim of this meeting is to discuss a diplomatic initiative involving the nuclear agreement and ending the war between Israel and Iran. A U.S. official confirmed, "Meetings with Iranian officials this week are being considered." This meeting could become a pivotal turning point on whether the U.S. will join the war to eliminate Iran's nuclear program through military means. A senior U.S. official stated that the White House views the massive bunker buster bombs needed to destroy Iran's Fordow underground enrichment facility (which the U.S. has and Israel does not) as a key bargaining chip to compel Iran to reach an agreement.
