Preparation

As discussed in earlier chapters, the fundamental concept of inscriptions involves engraving data onto the blockchain. To interact with the blockchain, a wallet is necessary. The Web3 section of Gate.io offers the Gate Wallet service. Users can click the provided link to access the Web3 page and download the browser plugin wallet, or they can navigate to the Web3 section in the Gate.io app.

After registering the wallet, you can click on the upper right corner as shown in the picture below to connect the wallet. At the same time, Gate Web3’s navigation bar also provides four types of inscription services: inscription market, bulk inscribing, inscription navigation, and inscription Launchpad.

Inscription Market

The Inscription Market offered by Gate.io provides aggregated data and basic information about the inscription market, as depicted in the image below. It comprises eight inscription protocols, including well-known ones like BRC-20 and DRC-20, spread across six public chains such as Bitcoin and Ethereum.

In the market page, you can learn about popular tokens in the protocol and filter or sort them by transaction volume, price, number of transactions, or holding addresses. This allows you to select inscription assets with the most potential. You can bookmark the assets you favor. Your owned inscription assets will be displayed under the “Me” button. If you favor a certain inscription asset, click on the project to access Gate.io’s asset details page. Here, you can view recent transaction volume, market order volume, trading conditions, and professional price and transaction charts to assist your decision-making.

Batch Inscribing

The Inscription Navigation also provides a filter for key inscription data. Users can find the hottest inscriptions based on the 24H trading volume, or find the most frequently traded inscription assets based on the sales data.

Clicking on a specific inscription asset will direct you to the Gate Web3 page. Alternatively, you can directly click on the asset on the Gate Web3 page. Once there, you will be directed to the asset introduction details page. This page displays the asset’s minting progress, total transaction volume, floor price (the minimum price to purchase the asset), transaction inputs, and the number of holding addresses. If you have an interest in this asset, click on “Market” to find an offer that suits you and purchase it directly.

It’s important to note that when inscriptions are minted, they are not just minted one at a time. As shown in the image above, many inscription assets appear in fixed amounts like 100, 10, 150, etc. This is something to be aware of when purchasing. Additionally, traders can use the “Data Analysis” button on this page to view the asset volume distribution and price trends, and can see real-time trading activity by clicking the “Trade” button.

Inscription Launchpad

Inscription Launchpad, an innovative product first introduced by Gate Web3, is designed for issuing and subscribing projects. It focuses on the release and subscription of inscription projects. This allows users to engage easily in the Ordinals track and other popular projects within the ecosystem. The latest launch is a new BRC20 project, PPIE. Users can subscribe to this project for free and can mint after the subscription is processed. To participate, simply click on the link and follow a few easy steps to acquire the latest assets.

Step 1: Connect to Gate Web3 Wallet and ensure there are sufficient assets in the wallet

Although the subscription is free, minting requires a certain Gas Fee, so please understand the risks and principles of the project before subscribing.
