History of Aurory

Aurory was founded by Yan Penno, an indie game developer with advanced knowledge on animation and art direction, and Paul Vadillo, a crypto investor with experience in real estate development. Since its development, the Aurory team has grown to a team of 70 employees and several investors such as Solana, Jump Capital, and Zee Prime Capital.

How Does Aurory Work?

Aurory was designed to incorporate the best of Web3 and gaming. The aim was to create a decentralized gaming experience for players, granting them ownership of their in-game assets, like characters, land, and special items.

To achieve this, the Aurory project was developed on the Solana network, which utilizes its proof of history and proof of stake (POS) mechanisms to boost the platform’s scalability. With this in place, platform users can enjoy the world of blockchain technology, gaining access to tools, characters, and land in the form of non-fungible tokens (NFTs).

Aside from the decentralized aspect of the platform, the developers of Aurory also made use of Axie Infinity’s play-to-earn game mechanics. In Aurory tactics play an important part in ensuring your victory. Battles are usually fought on battle grids using Nefties to deal damage or heal other Nefties. At the beginning, players get to choose three Nefties to make up their team. Once that is done, the match starts with both players taking turns making their next move.

The 3v3 battle gives players time to select their next move. Thus, players have the chance to strategize and plan to defeat their opponents’ Nefties before they lose theirs.

The bottom part of the screen has the abilities of your Nefties lined up. Each one with a simple attack, a special attack, and a strong ultimate ability to deal damage on the opponent’s Nefties. Players are rewarded with hype points when they land attacks. These points are then piled up to unlock the Nefties strong ultimate ability.

These attacks can be activated through their assigned keys on your keyboard or by clicking them off the screen. Players have to be very cautious about their strategy and make their decisions within the given time frame; otherwise, they might lose their turn, which might end up costing them the game.

Nefties

Nefties are the creatures found in the Aurory world. These creatures have special powers and attributes, ranging from powerful attacks to powerful defense skills which they use to protect themselves or their allies.

To get the most out of Nefties and their unique skills, users often build teams with these creatures, taking into account each of their skills and using them appropriately when battles arise. To do this efficiently, the user needs to know the strengths and weaknesses of each character, allowing better pairings and combinations.

Neftis also serve as Non-fungible tokens (NFT) and can be traded on platforms like Serum or other decentralized NFT trading platforms.

Aurorians are playable NFT characters created to represent the initial citizens of Tokane. Each Aurorian is given special features that help boost their holders’ PvP rewards. It also grants users access to new content and allows them to earn AURY in play-to-earn games on the platform. Finally, owners of Aurorians can use these NFTs as the visual identities of their characters.

Aurory is made up of two parallel planes: Antik and Tokane. Antik is the base world of the Nefties. It is full of mysteries and adventures, allowing players to explore and earn cool rewards and tokens. Antik is run by the Barons who mismanaged the land, leading it to financial crisis.

Tokane is a magical world found by the rulers of Antik. The two worlds have been linked by a portal that allows the denizens of Antik to move from one world to the other. Tokane is a relatively new world, but Nfties are filtering into Tokane, running away from their masters, others are corrupting other Nefties and gredily claiming parts of the land.

Land Ownership

Land in Antik serves as a respawn spot for players and a teleportation hub for other remote areas. Players can acquire land by buying it using the AURY token. Land owners also get access to whatever dungeon ends up in it, giving them ownership of the dungeon and its rewards. However, other users can have access to the dungeon but at a certain fee.

Antik land is grouped into four categories: Common, Advanced, Rare, and Legendary. Each category determines the chances of it having a dungeon and the level of rewards it would generate.

Game Heroes

Players can access two characters: Sam and Helios, who they will control as they navigate the Aurory world, recruit Nefties, and fight the corrupt Barons. Sam is a human born in Antik, making him physically strong and able to use different tools, while Helios is a magical character from Tokane who possesses magical powers and can teleport to Sam at any moment.

Player Modes

Aurory has two player modes: Player vs environment (Single Player) and Player vs Player (Multi-player). With PvE, players are rewarded with a guardian and Nefties for free and set out to explore the Antik world and its workings. The PvE mode allows users to play as both Sam and Helios and navigate Antik, gaining experience and confidence before playing the PvP mode.

The PvP mode allows players to assemble their team of Nefties and battle against players’ teams around the world. There are several options for battles, including friendly duels, ranked tournaments, and special game modes. At the start of the battles, players get a look at their opponents’ lineup, allowing them to anticipate their strategy, which will help them plan an effective counterattack.

SyncSpace is an inventory system that offers both on-chain and off-chain services. It was created to minimize user issues when interacting with the Aurory ecosystem. The system comprises two parts: the blockchain’s program and Aurory’s backend program.

With SyncSpace, user items can be in two states: a synced state, where the assets are deposited in SyncSpace, and a deSynced state for assets that are not yet Synced. The user can synced or desynced items all in one transaction without needing third-party services.

Finally, when a user earns in-game items, those items will be created in the Aurory program backend, but will not be available on-chain until the usr DeSyncuserrt. This can be done at anytime to an external wallet of the user’s choice.

DAOry

DAOry is a community hub created for Aurorian holders. It was designed to create brand awareness through community initiatives and proposals, social media marketing, and partnerships with other projects and communities. The community is led by nine council members who are selected by the community members bi-annually.

The council is tasked with deliberating over ideas brought up by community members and present it as an official proposal to all Aurorian holders to vote on.

AURY Token
