Honestly, if someone can just get away with cheating others by casually apologizing and patching things up, then the whole space is doomed. This isn’t progress—it’s teaching others, “Just do the same and you’ll be fine.”

Some things can’t just be smoothed over with a simple “sorry.” Otherwise, what’s the point of having rules? What’s the point of fairness?

Lately, I’ve seen a lot of projects using this trick: faking donation data, breaking promises, then going silent for a while before coming back with a “sincere apology.” Is the community really that easy to fool?

If this trend isn’t stopped, more and more people will keep pushing the boundaries.

That's right, we've seen too many tricks like this already. After scamming people, they pretend to be pitiful—who can trust anyone in this space anymore? Come on, just apologizing is useless. If assets need to be frozen, then freeze the assets. These project teams really think we're fools. They fake donations and still walk away unscathed? Every time we compromise our bottom line, the next scam just gets worse. If there's no serious punishment, even more people will follow suit. If the rules are just for show, might as well just scrap them altogether.

Seriously, if this keeps happening over and over, this space will be completely rotten. What's the point of apologizing? Even compensation can't make up for lost trust. To put it bluntly, they're just demonstrating the "correct" way to cheat. Just wait, others will definitely follow suit. These project teams really think the community is stupid? First they deceive, then play dead, and finally want to move on with just a "sorry"? What a joke. If you don't stick to the bottom line, the rules are basically useless. You can pull this trick once or twice, but if it keeps repeating, total collapse is just around the corner. Someone needs to actually take real action.

Isn't it always like this? I'm already used to it. They just apologize whenever, since no one really dares to hold them accountable. Here we go again. They'll just wait for things to die down and keep scamming retail investors. They really treat the community like fools. These project teams are getting bolder and bolder. Bottom line? That was gone long ago. Now it's just about who puts on the best act. There will always be naive people with too much money, and the supply of "newbies" is endless. If this keeps up, sooner or later it'll just be a bunch of scammers putting on a show for each other.

Is just apologizing enough? This trick is overused, one after another. They even dare to fake donation data, what sincerity can you expect? If this goes on, the space will be completely rotten, with the bar getting lower and lower. Someone should have stood up and doxxed these project teams a long time ago. What happened to the promised rules? They're just for show. They really treat the community like fools—it's outrageous.

If apologies could be spent like money, then I’d better hurry up and learn this trick. If this keeps happening again and again, who’s going to trust any promises next time? Project teams are just relying on the community’s “forgetfulness” to get by—it’s honestly ridiculous. This is why I now only invest small amounts across multiple chains, never going all in. One slap in the face isn’t enough, guess we have to get hit a third time.

Absolutely right, the real worry is that more and more people will learn to do this. Just apologize and it's over? Then maybe I should try scamming too. What this circle really lacks now is someone who's truly willing to take action. I've seen this script too many times, it's so annoying. Not holding them accountable is just enabling them, saying more is pointless.

actually, the game theory here is broken—once you establish that apologies reset reputation to zero, you've just created a perverse incentive structure where the expected value of fraud becomes positive. think of it this way: if penalty = apology, then rational actors will just... keep doing it.
