DePIN is an abbreviation for Decentralized Physical Infrastructure, referring to projects that require hardware devices to deploy their decentralized networks. IoTex, along with Foresight Venture and FutureMoney Group, established the DePIN Surf Accelerator, providing projects with financial support, media promotion, and entrepreneurial experience. This includes Ator Network, InferiX GPU, Wayru Network, and PowerPod, all of which leverage blockchain technology to allow the general public to participate in network operations and earn incomes. InferiX provides accelerated computing services, Wayru Network provides wireless network services, and PowerPod builds a decentralized electric vehicle charging network. Unlike DeFi projects, DePIN places more emphasis on expanding user base, but balancing token subsidies with sustainable project development is a challenge. This track has tremendous potential and is worth paying attention to.

This article provides a brief analysis of the reasons for the rise of POW programs, and takes stock of new POW projects with a market capitalization of over 40 million, as well as current problems.
